Izabela Cywa is the director of Bagandu Hospital in the Central African Republic and reports the worrying situation in the region: “a large gold deposit was found nearby and a lot of people came to explore the mines. The number of patients increased, as did the number of abortions because many women came as prostitutes. Most of them are very young girls who get the abortion pill in public clinics.
