South Sudan – update

The situation in South Sudan does not improve, serious episodes of clashes and violence continue. Insecurity worsens human conditions, people cannot work to get what they need for their livehood and this has been for a long time. Upper Nile region has been declared in state of  emergency and the World Food Programme is unable to meet all needs. People, especially the elderly and mothers with children, constantly knock at the Church’s doors for help. ACN has received requests from parishes in the Western Upper Nile to help them alleviate this great need. ACN will respond to the aid request of these missionaries working for the faith and the people in such remote places, with the financial support we will send them our prayers, as well. Aid to the Church in Need does not forget our brothers and sisters in South Sudan: we ask all those who follow us in social networks to join us in our prayers.
