Dear Children,
Dear Friends of “One Million Children Praying the Rosary”,

THANK YOU for praying the Rosary on October 18 together with more than one million children around the world! Your prayers are helping to bring peace and unity to the world.

Take a look at our 2024 photo gallery and find out who prayed this year!

But… the prayer doesn’t stop here! Pope Francis invites children to pray in families and groups.  In his message for the World Children’s Day 2024, the Holy Father wrote:

“I would ask all of you to pray the same prayer that Jesus taught us – the Our Father. Recite it every morning and every evening, in your families too, together with your parents, brothers, sisters and grandparents. But not just by saying the words! Think about those words that Jesus taught us. He is calling us and he wants us to join actively with him, on this World Children’s Day, to become builders of a new, more humane, just and peaceful world.”

We invite you to join us to answer this call: continue to pray and establish children’s Rosary groups wherever they do not yet exist. This invitation is also responding to Pope Francis’s appeal to dedicate the year 2024 as a year of prayer, preparing our hearts and communities for the Holy Year 2025.

To support you on this path, we have prepared a practical guide and a meditation booklet:

Practical guide
  1. First steps for starting a children’s Rosary group: This step-by-step guide will help you to start a prayer group in your family or community and overcome the initial challenges.

Meditation booklet

To deepen your Rosary prayer, we offer a small booklet.

We look forward to continuing this journey with you. May the Rosary continue to unite us and bring us closer to God’s peace together.

BOOKLET + GUIDE

HOW TO PRAY THE ROSARY?

Children are far more open to the rosary than a lot of adults. When the rosary is prayed correctly and under proper guidance, it offers us a glimpse of the Virgin Mary, and a relationship with her that grows more intimate the longer you pray the rosary. This intimate view of Our Lady is something that we can learn from children!
The sign of the Cross
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father almighty, from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen.

Our Father
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
The Glory Be To The Father
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
The Fatima Prayer
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell and lead all souls to Heaven, especially those who most need thy mercy. Amen.
