La congregaci\u00f3n greco-cat\u00f3lica de las Hermanas de San Jos\u00e9 est\u00e1 viva y cuenta con j\u00f3venes vocaciones. La comunidad se fund\u00f3 en 1898 en Ucrania con el objetivo de que las religiosas se dedicaran especialmente a la labor con ni\u00f1os y j\u00f3venes: cuidan de los hu\u00e9rfanos, dirigen jardines de infancia y escuelas, y ayudan a los sacerdotes en las parroquias. En Ucrania trabajan cuarenta religiosas de esta congregaci\u00f3n, distribuidas en tres conventos. Adem\u00e1s, tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1n presentes en Polonia y Siberia.<\/p>\n

En Potelych, en Ucrania occidental, a 40 kil\u00f3metros de Lvov, las religiosas dirigen un orfanato llamado Pysanka<\/em>, que significa \u201chuevo de Pascua\u201d en ucraniano. Actualmente, nueve ni\u00f1os y j\u00f3venes viven all\u00ed en grupos que funcionan como familias. Tienen entre cuatro y diecinueve a\u00f1os de edad y proceden de entornos familiares desestructurados, por lo que apenas se han sentido amados y cobijados. Estos ni\u00f1os son atendidos con cari\u00f1o por tres religiosas que les ayudan a superar sus heridas psicol\u00f3gicas y a establecer una relaci\u00f3n con Dios.<\/p>\n

Ahora, el convento de las religiosas precisa urgentemente de una renovaci\u00f3n. Sobre todo, hay que remplazar las ventanas, por las que penetra la humedad cuando llueve y nieva, lo cual fomenta la formaci\u00f3n de moho, y tambi\u00e9n hay que renovar el cableado el\u00e9ctrico y reparar algunos muros.
