Dramatisch ist die Lage vor allem dort, wo sich islamistischer Terror ausbreitet und Christen Opfer von Verfolgung und Vertreibung werden, wie beispielsweise in Mosambik, Burkina Faso und Nigeria. Zugleich steigt die Zahl der Gl\u00e4ubigen und der Priester- und Ordensberufungen weiter an.<br>18,7 Prozent unserer Hilfe kam Asien (inklusive 0,9 Prozent f\u00fcr Ozeanien) zugute, wo Christen in den meisten L\u00e4ndern eine Minderheit bilden, die diskriminiert oder sogar verfolgt wird. So erh\u00f6hten wir beispielsweise unsere Hilfe f\u00fcr Pakistan.<br><br>Das F\u00f6rdervolumen f\u00fcr den Nahen Osten lag bei 17,5 Prozent unserer Gesamthilfe. Schwerpunkte waren 2024 neben Syrien und dem Libanon die notleidenden Christen im Heiligen Land. Durch Nothilfen und die St\u00e4rkung der Seelsorge m\u00f6chten wir dazu beitragen, den christlichen Gemeinden das \u00dcberleben zu sichern und der massiven Abwanderung von Christen entgegenzuwirken.<br><br>Auf Lateinamerika entfielen 16,8 Prozent unserer Gesamthilfe, denn Landflucht, Migration, Sekten und kirchenfeindliche Regierungen sind gro\u00dfe Herausforderungen f\u00fcr die Kirche.<br><br>Viele Bitten um Unterst\u00fctzung erreichten uns 2024 weiterhin aus der Ukraine, wo die Kirche inmitten des Krieges versucht, die geistlichen, seelischen und materiellen N\u00f6te der Gefl\u00fcchteten und Bed\u00fcr!igen zu lindern. 2024 flossen daher 8,9 Prozent unserer Mittel in die Ukraine.
